PRINCESS AND THE FROG

From the moment I saw that the Princess and the Frog came out I knew I wanted to dress up like a princess to go and see it. Childish you may say but I say I don't care I had so much fun. My sisters Ashlyn, Mikaydee and Ashlyns friend Kirsten dressed up in prom dresses and went to see it.

This is us before we headed out to pick up Kirsten. Look how cute we are. Yes I am the only one with a tiara but who cares. I was a true princess that day. I even had the glass slippers while my sister Mikaydee had on her Velcro shoes and fuzzy socks, Ashlyn had her flip flops and Kirsten wore flats.

Mikaydee and Ashlyn were jealous of my tiara so they tried to take it from me

There are no words necessary for this picture except to say Mikaydee won

Ashlyn and Kirsten in the back seat of the car

Mikaydee and I

Here we all are at the movie, well actually in the the lobby but same thing. It was such a fun night and I was very glad my sisters humored me and dressed up and went with me.

BABY SHOWER TIME!!!

This past week on Tuesday the third to be exact, my sisters and I threw my sister ShayLyn a baby shower. My sister Hadlee did so much work on it and she had the cutest ideas
When you walked in she had baby cloths hanging from cloth pins then she had little treats on her chest with Hershey kisses, Rollo's, peanut butter cups in one jar, pink M&Ms in another and Pink Gummies in another. She also had Shower Favor I guess you would call it on the chest that was in a Jar of some sort that said thank you on it and had a flower on top it was way cute. Then she made a Diaper cake that you see to the right which in itself is amazing. She also put clippies on the sides that she made herself for Shays baby. Man I wish I was as creative and talented as Hadlee. We had a yummy salad and fruit with my Aunt Shaunas Cinnamon rolls that were delicious.
Here is a picture of the mom to be she doesn't know I took this picture but I thought I should. She looks like she just stuck a basketball up her shirt for the fun of it. Hadlee was the same way when she was pregnant with her boys. I hope I received the same genes they did.
Here are three pictures of my ridiculously good looking sisters and it helps that I am in the picture to make it even better looking ;) ha ha no I love these girls they are my favorite.

Witchy Witchy Screamy Screamy Happy Happy Halloweeny

Wow I havent bloged in the longest time so I will just go with Halloween. Friday at work we dressed up in our sports gear (no pictures sorry) and then it came to Sat. Halloween. I love Halloween it is one of my all time FAVORITE holidays. I love the dressing up. Well throughout Sat I didnt know what to dress up as and I thought you know maybe I will just not dress up this year GASP. I thought some more and realized how dumb that would be so I decided to dress up as a princess. I ran to the store bought me a crown, curled my hair and put on my blue prom dress. Around 7 Chase, Lacie, Hadlee and Jd brought their boys and Mikaydee and I took them down the block trick-or-treating. Here are some pics of the night

We were trying to get them to look at the camera, we have left to right the Scary Spider Trey, My mom who is in a hospital gown with crutches and a cast is a patient, on her lap we have the cute penguin Tilden, Cowboy Woody Kyden who when you asked what Woodie said would say "Theres a snake in my boot", next we have Curious George Kort.

Here is the best picture that we could take of the night the boys were tired of taking pictures so I hopped in to hold Trey for the Pictures.
After they left we went to go visit the G-mas and G-pas who gave us yummy popcorn balls and chilli. Now you can see why it is my favorite night.

BAD A HARRY POTTER

Tonight when my dad was finishing watching Forever Strong (awesome movie) on the computer I was sitting at the table with my little brother and I decided I was going to paint my glass cup. I got out the washable paints (pointless to paint a cup then but hey if I didn't like it then I could always change it right) any ways when I was finished painting my cup I started painting on my wrist and my brother asked me what cool thing I was going to paint on him. I needed no more further encouragement than that so I told him to close his eyes. At first I was going to just paint black around his eye and color it in but then I had a better idea.
I would like to introduce you to.................
Harry Potter when he is older and a little wild

We were taking the picture and said Bad A Harry Potter doesn't smile so this is what he did after we told him (of course Ash has to poke her head in)
Look how bad he looks with his goatee, awesome sideburns and tattoo (we had to show him how to pose)
Pointing his wand at me (he had to hold his shirt up because the paint wasn't dry yet)
Look he even has a mom tattoo I think next time we will need to add a Ginny tattoo though
I think we have a Halloween Costume for him

Oh the HORROR!!!!!

Tonight I was watching the Mentalist (great show) when I decided to make chocolate chip cookies. Of course though I had to wait for the show to be done with, but through out the show I thought I am going to have some great cookies. The show got done at 10 I had Mikaydee pick out a movie because she was going to stay up with me (she wanted some cookie dough). Well I get to the kitchen and lo and behold the recipe is GONE. I could not make cookies because I liked that recipe. So all of my hopes and dreams of the warm out of the oven cookie with a glass of milk shattered. Well you might say that I should branch out try a new recipe but I like to stick to things I know will taste good I do it with everything, but this is my plee to you. If you have really and I mean really good chocolate chip recipe please share. Thank you

Cooking with Grandma

This morning about 10 I got a phone call, reminding them that I taught the lesson in Relief Society tomorrow. I kindly said that I teach the third Sunday of the month not the second, but if they needed me to teach I would. BIG MISTAKE, the counselor said that she would call the other girls and then let me know. 10 minutes later I got a phone call saying that yes I would need to teach the lesson. The lesson is on Relief Society: Divine Organization of Women. I thought what better way to teach then to give treats. After all that is what we are known for right. I was deciding on what treat to make between mint cookies, Rollo cookies, or something else. I called my mada and asked her opinion. She said that I should make Carmels, and to give Grandma a call and ask for the recipe. My Grandma gave me the recipe but then said that I should just come up and she would show me how to make them. I think that was the best option for me. Oh I love my Grandma, so I gathered Mikaydee and Cade in my car and headed up there since it was my parents anniversary they were under my watchful eye (HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MUM AND POPS I LOVE YOU) Here are the pictures of cooking,

What it first looks like, it is trying to boil

Ok here is the funny thing, my Grandma is an AMAZING cook. When we got there she was talking of how she let her bread rise to much. I was thinking oh now she has to through it away. Oh no not Grandma she makes scones from it. Yes that is right scones who would have thought to do that. Not me, this is a picture of her making scones from far away.

Here is a picture of my delicious scone, and Mikaydee and Cade making theirs.

Here is what it looks like after we poured it in the bowl

My Grandma and I with my finished product. Well it isn't finished yet I had to let it cool and then cut it up but I did that at home

Here they are the finished product. My sister Mikaydee helped me with her AMAZING wrapping skills. If you need her help wrapping anything she is your girl.

YES WE DID MAKE IT

Even though I am sure that all of you new when I ended my last post that you were sure we made it. Yes we did, we are cool I know, I will show you picks of what led up to the point.

Here are some pictures of me and my handsome pops. I was pointing at Mikaydee because her and my father were making fun of me at this point of the hike. All the way up there is just a drop off all along the side of the trail. Well I am terrified of heights, well the story goes that my dad was getting excited about mountain goats and was pointing at them well he slipped a little caught himself and moved on. Needless to say I almost started crying, and wasn't sure I was going to go any further, that is why they were making fun of me. How rude.

As we were nearing the top, we came across snow. That is right SNOW in AUGUST. Who would of thought so my dad went and grabbed some and threw it at Mikaydee and I.
View from the TOP

We made it up at 9. Here I am trying to call people on the phone so they can come out and so they could see us flashing the mirror. Mikaydee pointing to our house (I don't think she saw it) and my poppy with the mirror and also trying to call people.

In my dads picture you can see a box he is standing by. When you get to the top you write your name in it saying you were there so now our names are forever on top of Ben Lomond (unless they take the box down).

Pic of Mikaydee and I. There is Mikaydee pointing again to the house:). Oh and how random is that once we got to the top we had a few minutes to ourselves and then a guy from Illinois came up. I figured we might run into some other people but not a guy from Illinois. How lucky we are to have a mountain like this to climb.
In the last post I asked the question was it worth it? The answer to that a resounding YES. I wasn't going to go on this hike because like I said I am TERRIFIED of heights. In the end I went to prove to myself that I could do it. I am still terrified yes, I guess I just need to work on that a bit, but I can say yes I hiked to Ben Lomond peek. Will I do it again? I don't know, I guess I will have to see when the day comes.

Was it worth it?

My poppy, me sister Mikaydee and I were crazy enough to wake up at 5 in the morning on a Saturday and go hiking to Ben Lomond Peak.

This is the time we left the house, we came back a few minutes later because my dad left his sun glasses in the garage

Here we are all getting ready to head out on the trail

3 1/2 miles to go

Here are the cool animals we saw the first picture is of buck we saw, but you cant really see them. The next is the mountain goats, they were everywhere. Last but not least Billy the HUGE mountain goat we saw, he was the size of a small horse. We also saw fox, moose, and grouse oh and also a bird which my dad says was a chipmunk.
I will up load more pictures later, I like to keep you waiting to see if we made it up alive dododododooooooooooooooo.
